Is GATE tougher than JEE?

"Sister: 'Gate is easy,' said my sister who scored well in JEE Mains and Advanced but wasn’t happy with her board marks (around 94%, but she didn’t think it was good enough!).

Why do US military soldiers/officers have a chest full of medal ribbons when they probably haven't been in a combat situation? Are the medals for attendance, good behaviour, or long service perhaps?

Me: 'Look, if you want to get into the best DU colleges, the board exam is the toughest. If you want IIT, then JEE is the toughest. If you aim for IAS/IPS, CSE is the toughest. For PSUs or IITs for Masters, Gate is the toughest. For foreign universities, GRE/GMAT is the toughest. For AIIMS, it’s the toughest. For becoming a CA, that’s the toughest for you. Want to join the Indian Forces? NDA/CDS is the toughest. The same goes for SSC-CGL/CHSL/IBPS exams.

Me: 'Everyone agrees JEE is tough. It’s impressive to have such a deep understanding at a young age. But let me ask you, which do you think is tougher, getting into Google/Facebook or IIT?'

Sister: 'How can you compare? They serve different purposes and happen at different stages.'
